Who lives in my property?
Registered owners can look up who lives in their property and report the incorrect registration of those who do not live there.
People are entitled to registration of legal domicile at a specific address when they have their base there, usually stay there in their free time, have their household goods there and place of sleep when they are not temporarily absent.

When a notification is received by Registers Iceland, a process is started that is aimed at enforcing the Administative Procedures Act no. 37/1993.
This means that Registers Iceland is obliged to inform the person involved about the matter and give them a opportunity to respond.
If no response is received, Registers Iceland can change the person's registration according to the available information.
