Lög um flutning fasteignaskrár frá Þjóðskrá til HMS hafa verið samþykkt á Alþingi og taka þau gildi 1. júlí næstkomandi. Rekstur fasteignaskrár mun færast til HMS en markmiðið er að einfalda og efla þjónustu við sveitarfélög, almenning og aðra hagaðila. Starfsemin verður flutt þann 1. júlí næstkomandi en stefnt er að því að yfirfærslu kerfa verði að mestu lokið 1. september 2022.
Frá og með 1. júlí næstkomandi mun HMS bera ábyrgð á allri þjónustu vegna fasteignaskrár og er hægt að beina erindum í síma 440-6400 eða á netfangið hms@hms.is. Skrifstofur HMS eru staðsettar í Borgartúni 21 í Reykjavík, Ártorgi 1 á Sauðárkróki og Hafnarstræti 107 á Akureyri. Berist erindi til Þjóðskrár í gegnum síma eða með tölvupósti eftir 1. júlí verður erindið áframsent til HMS til að tryggja svörun.
Þjóðskrá og HMS leggja mikla áherslu á að ekki verði þjónusturof meðan á sameiningarferlinu stendur og munu engar aðrar breytingar eiga sér stað þann 1. júlí sem hafa áhrif á þjónustu við viðskiptavini.

The law regarding the transfer of the property register from Registers Iceland to HMS has been approved by Althingi and took effect on the 1st of July 2022. All management of the property register and related tasks has been transferred to HMS in order to simplify and promote services for municipalities, the public and other invested parties. It is expected that all related systems will be fully transferred by the 1st of September 2022.
From the 1st of July HMS will be responsible for all services regarding the property register and they can be contacted by email to hms@hms.is or by phone to 440-6400. The offices of HMS are situated in Borgartún 21, Reykjavík, Ártorg 1, Sauðárkrókur and Hafnarstræti 107, Akureyri. Inquiries received by Registers Iceland after the 1st of July 2022 will be forwarded to HMS to insure a response.
Registers Iceland and HMS place a great emphasis on the service level not being interrupted during this transition and no other changes will be implemented on the 1st of July that could affect the customer service of the property register.
